Hi all,

I know there are differences between the development process of DBOR and DBOG, but from what I understand, DBOG won't be able to add new content to their version of the game.

I don't quite understand your development process, but my question essentially is that when you eventually release the game, would you be able to add new content (new maps, quests, npcs, transformations, etc.) at some point in the future?

P.S. This question was not intended to start a flame war between the two games. I play and like DBOG while anticipating the release of this project as well. I just remember seeing something about you developing the original files from scratch which takes longer to do, but would be rewarding once the project is finished.

The long and short of it is;

Both teams at this point could easily add what ever they felt like to the game, however in what form it appears, that's entirely another question, which is quite difficult to answer.

I'm curious because when I asked those questions in the DBOG forum, there was a lot of talk about locked content that couldn't be added to or changed. Thanks for the answer tho, looking forward to seeing yall see this through

I should clarify, the process is fairly straight forward, it would just take considerable time to implement most larger additions.

Adding new content might go from simple events to making a new chapter in the story. The first one just requires some relatively simple coding work, if any at all.

On the other hand, making a new chapter for DBO means writing a new story, making new animations, modeling new characters and maps... It would probably come with a level cap increase too, which means new abilities, new animations for those, new icons... Not to mention the work of balancing and keeping it fair for everyone.

I could list a million things mentioning how complicated it could be. It all depends on how much they intend to add and how it will be made. Some can be easy, while others might require a crap-ton of work. It can be done, but each of those has different levels of work to achieve.
