they actually generate alot of revenue, tbh, but, i believe you can hide these ads from showing up for you, by clicking the "mute ad" button, if you can see that.

if not, i'll have to contact google if these types of ads bother my users.

This is correct. It's not only your search history however. If you have a Gmail they'll use emails you get. You can still get ads you never searched for however based on how much the advertiser spends like he said.
