Was the game any popular or good?

Also, this game looks like it will be fun.

If the game wasn't good or fun then they wouldn't be developing a private server.

Lets see, it only had servers in Korea,Taiwan, and Hong Kong yet I grabbed the attention of people of many people outside of that area aka us. When I was playing DBO Taiwan, I noticed a lot more people that were outside of the area and many people were messing around. So I would say the game was popular :D

True, it wasn't that popular, it didn't have the chance to reach its full potential.

You probs haven't played other games. Most games originate from non english peeps. Like Korea/Taiwan, some Russian games, you get the point. Us "foreigners", to them at least, wish to play the game, so we try it out. I wouldn't call DBO popular towards the end of the run. At the start of the game it was for sure popular. You would see tons of people on the game (Later cap peeps won't know this). Though the community of english players was rather small. Also for the fact the Korean server shut down because of the lack of attention that server had.

I do think it was popular in Taiwan though, at the start at least, eventually it died out. But would I overall call the game itself popular? In comparison to other games, not really. Knowing the tons of dbz fans, if it was infact popular I would expect a company to jump on the game with no hesitation. Do I believe DBOR can get this game to be popular? For sure. We have a built community from the start, with tons of new comers when it hasn't been released yet. I see a bright future.

It feels satisfying to have played DBO before it shutdown. It's like... we're.. "Originals".

I think they should of combined SV1 with SV2.

No point in that when they only care about Kr server.
If Kr would be online, all others would be online too.

For the most part this^

DBO was extremely popular during it's original release. Original release meaning Korean DBO. I remember when I first played that during beta, there was about 8-10 other english speaking players and the servers were super full of people. . . .Though it did peak during TW release since you didn't need a KSN.

I won't go into why it failed since I mentioned why in a previous thread, but I will say this, If you've never played before, I'd give it a go. For the most part it's fairly entertaining. Yes, it's not the best mmo ever, but it is cool to walk around the dragonball verse.
