Just curious on what everybody's take on the two skills are. I already know from tests and such which I prefer, but I wanted to get everyone else opinions on them.

If you played TW or HK then Spirited Roar in most cases is better because most people had anti-crit gear. In KR, crit was important so might was usually better (at least for swordmasters).

When I did some test to see which one I wanted to use. I came to the conclusion that even though looking at your stats when using Spirited Roar your atk stat was much higher, but the non crit damage output was really not that big of a difference.

Idk if it was maybe bad calculations or thats how they wanted it. Even on crits with Might the damage for the crits was pretty even with the damage on the crits with Spirited Roar, so I chose to go with Might in my build because the 2 extra sp came in handy.

I feel like for DBOR they should really adjust the calculations on Spirited Roar and Might so that you are actually making a decision on how you wanted to build because for regular DBO Might was better because the damage difference was barely noticeable and you also got 2 extra sp.

Now these test were only run on a SM not a fighter, so obvi it would probably be slightly different because of the way damage is calculated for certain skills but yea.

When I had my fighter, spirited roar was useful. Might was good for the crit's. I would like both though :3

I had both more times than I can count, and every time I would go back to Might because I just couldnt find a viable reason to keep SR considering the damage not being that much different, and I feel the 2 extra SP were way more handy than 11k vs 10.9k on a Sword Slash. (Not actual because I dont remember the exact difference but it was really minimal regardless of skill MSS or SS)

Spirited Roar wins

Maybe as an SM  Might would be better . but as a fighter definitely Spirited Roar.

tho Spirited Roar has a weakness against energy opponents . but then again a fighter is supposed to be an assassin that kills them before they can lift a finger so ye.

I like and use both in my opinion Spirited roar is more useful for fighters (Speed) than Might well we all know Might is really good for Swordsman (Critic)

More damage true but I tink someting was off with the way they calculated your atk stat to actual damage because even though SR would give me a couple hundred more atk the damage output difference was relatively small considering the large difference in the stat.

KD for knubs


We use to duel for hours back in the day and of course you would'nt KD me because ima human, The chances you did have to hit me you wanted to make them count.

But against an SK who can damage you with curses you would KD.

There is a difference. "Spirited Roar-Increases Physical attack by 10%, Energy Defense decreased by 5%, COST 16EP" "Might-Increases strength by 8, increases physical critical damage by 8%, COST 92EP" (These stats might change when DBOR comes out)
In the end it comes down to your build and class. For swordsman I would recomend Might.

The difference isn't humongous tbh, but as a human that small difference of damage matters. That tiny difference could win you the match. I've always gone with it so Spirited Roar.

Why choose might when it only gives you 34.5 Physical attack(1 Soul = 1.5 Energy attack so I'm assuming 1 Strength = 1.5 Physical attack) + 16 % crit dmg? SR is in % so if you have more Physical attack you get more Physical attack in return thus making it a better buff for DPS classes.

Another reason why might sucks imo is because you have to crit to get the full damage from it.

^ This. Overall, I personally preferred spirited roar. The only negative was losing energy defence, but didn't matter much because you should be dodging as a fighter.
