I'm trying to learn Video Editing/effects as well! AND HOLY ****ING HELL DOES ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS GIVE YOU THE PROPER TOOLS TO MAKE THE SHIT! LIKE SERIOUSLY THERE IS SO MUCH ****ING POSSIBILITIES!!!!
I mean vegas is much simpler to use but the amount of shit compared to adobe after effects DOES NOT COMPARE!

I noticed as i looking around on youtube, atleast 70% of the desired effects i wanted, where like a setting in after effects, however, i'll just stick with one program for now.

As for the last 7 years, i've just used camtasia studio for all my video needs, and i haven't needed anything else.

I used to say the same thing and believe me, working with 2 programs isn't easy, BUT you could do SOOOO much more!
Animations, Audio Visualization, Intros, Cool Effects, Parodies, Fast Forward, Slow Mo, Motion Graphics,Sequence Animations and SO much more,HECK that awesome chalk animation used in episode 41 of TFS with Gohan explain multiverse theory MasakoX made was in after effects, you could find a small explanation in Episode 41 Breakdown, only bad thing is that rendering is a bit more limited but that's still ok.

Edit:I forgot to mention I LOVED how much company names you added at the beginning of the video I laughed a lot

I use After Effects, too. An older version, though.
But actually, the fire effects I used on that image I made for Dumke and my sig were done in After Effects.
So were the guild intros I made for my guild.

By the way, how is Vegas? I've never used it, but I've heard good things about it.
