But is it even fair to count the rose bomb? Its a failsafe, it can't be used without offering a stalemate. Even if nettero didn't have to Peirce his heart to acchive it, he is still within the blast radius.

No this has to be based on combat skills alone. Even so nettero is faster then whitebeard, even without his men he has the ability to punch at the speed of sound in his prime and it was barely weakened in his old age. Whitebeard just can't keep up.

The only way I can see whitebeard winning is him using his quake fruit to make a quake so large that it consumes them both, but again this just offers another stalemate and isn't truly fair to count.
