This is a PSA regarding the way males usually treat females in the online gaming world. In my time playing games online ive heard too many misogynist comments directed at female gamers that not only make them uncomfortable, but can make them quit online gaming for good. I suggest everyone read this article on the topic to help promote a friendly and fun environment for all sexes and genders. http://www.gamesradar.com/9-things-real-female-gamers-hate-about-gaming/ Its inevitable that the average pre-pubescent has been and will be exposed to a plethora of hate comments on xbox headsets or PC teamspeaks, but we can work toward making the gaming community a better place for everyone by calling these people out and not adopting their hateful speech.
I thought female gamers were like g-spot: fictional...Now, seriously speaking, I don't treat female gamers any different. Since there is no way to confirm whether it is a female or a male playing the game (at least in the way I like to play it... Silence, dark and with only one program open (the game)). So, with this said, it is pretty obvious that you may be a female character and/or claim to be female, I won't treat you any different.
Well im a female gamer myself and trust me i know about abuse. So i can only support this. I wish for people to be able to accept me as who i am. Hell sometimes i even wish i was a boy cause guys don't have to prove anything. You have no idea how many times i have heard the phrase "Tits or GTFO" or "Prove you are a girl, show me facebook/skype" or something simulare. Why do we girls have to prove everything when guys don't? can't we all just be friends? Tsuki≈
There is nothing wrong with the other gender playing games, because on a game, they're anonymous, but the moment, they feel make themselves known they are female, they are trying to get attention.
Though I am not attention seeking as you could call it. ^_^
We girls have to make a Girl DBOR day like a day where we meet up and have fun ^^ I think thats what we all need. To spend time with other girl gamers, so we don't feel alone Tsuki≈
All three of you.
Watch this become an official announcement holiday for dbor. ;3
meh its about skill not gender
