It'd fail without a doubt.
It could work. There's been MMOs on consoles before, and they have them even now.Why couldn't it work? You're all assuming that because it was made for PC that it can only work on PC, but that's just not so.I've played a few console MMOs. They were perfectly fun.My favorite PS3 game was an MMO.They shut it down around this time last year, but that's because the parent company is kinda a d**k. It's actually still going strong in Japan.Sure, you'd have to adapt the controls to match a console controller, but that's been done with tons of games. They wouldn't have to change the core gameplay at all, and plenty of people (in fact most who play console MMOs) just use a usb keyboard for conversations, so there's no reason why they can't make it so the game would respond to that as well. They have stuff like (ugh...) Final Fantasy XIV on consoles. Before that was Final Fantasy XI.Elder Scrolls Online I think is on the next-gen consoles. It can be done, and it can be done quite well.
It can be done well, and you've stated a good few that have done well, but there is also some others that didn't go so well.
I would hate it honestly. I prefer playing MMO's on a PC. It's just better imo.
