Maybe after the game is up and running maybe you guys could make an update and enviroment destruction could be possible also make the ground shake when you turn SSJ that would be epic :)

I think 'environment destruction' (Like Battlefield)would be too much to ask for, but simply making the screen shake a little to make it look like an earthquake shouldn't be THAT hard I suppose?

Both are hard to make,since those were not in files,the work that needs is that they need to make it out of game,then import it and test it several times,its big work...We might see those kinda changes after the game has been released,after the final cap lvl/end game...both good ideas,which i would like to see in game...
 There where few smash grounds from skills,upgraded gear charge etc...in big scale would mess the shader/pixels/meshes...might a bit of work on them will just fill some gaps tho...

The words you used,were enougth to understand the few...the video was way to much.
According to the history of DBO the human race characters are descendants of humans and saiyans,which that means,they are not as strong as the Goku/Vegeta first family tree.
 So everything relative to them is a no no...That doesnt mean that i didnt liked the idea as you first posted tho...

I find this update useless because whats the point the ground just shakes and destruction fields everything would end up destroyed :P

Small bump but it works destroyed environment seen all the players and there will be any fighting will destroy all the time
Maybe an addition of cinéamtique would be nice but I would think its too much to ask

1 - Enviornment destruction to a small scale. Like a blast hitting a wall, could leave a flat object ID on the wall with the sprite of a burn maybe. (Which would be hard to do because I'm sure the blasts are just particle effects and not a physical object, so I could see how collision would be an issue, but maybe when energy attack is activated, depending on how far the character is and what way they are facing can determine the spot the "object texture" of the burn appears) Seems like a challenge there

2 - When going KoK the same thing could apply. When KoK is activated, a flat object can spawn underneath you with the sprite of a red burn on the ground perhaps. Then again, everyone could spam

I don't know how difficult those could be. I see it as an object spawn with a texture after KoK action is triggered. I took a "video game design" class freshman year of high school, I learned a bit, but that was on some crappy program and it was a couple of years ago.

i don't think this Environment Destruction is needed in DBOR. Since i prefer PvE i spent some time with enjoying the landscape of DBO and i really don't like this idea....

But Dumke will decide :P

not necessary and very hard to implement, you have tou remember that this guys are working for free, they have lifes, and no have retribution for that (maybe future donations, but no money at this moment)

This game being the first of it's kind is not meant for something like environment destruction. Remember when this game was being developed they had nothing to go off of, so the engine was meant to be like any other MMO with some minor differences. I think once the world catches on to DB MMO's then maybe we can have something like that from an amazing game production company. The world is still focused on DB games for Consoles when they should start matriculating to PC games. But even in that, that's kind of difficult because I personally think you can't really capture all of the DB experience on the PC because of limitations, but who knows.

The world is still focused on DB games for Consoles when they should start matriculating to PC games. But even in that, that's kind of difficult because I personally think you can't really capture all of the DB experience on the PC because of limitations, but who knows.
I think the main reason for DB games,havent came till now on pc's,is piracy and nothing more or less,they afraid to spend more,than please their funs...

How would the process of getting it approved be any different than getting a DB console game approved?

Consoles are pretty much locked from any sort of tinkering, this isn't exactly the case for PCs, so they developers would have to spend more money for security programs. Notice how many MMOs (including Dragon Ball Online) have some sort of "hacker prevention"? That isn't cheap, they have to pay the developers of the protection system a large sum of money.

You could go the "no dependencies" route and write your own "hacker prevention" software, but you'd have to hire programmers trained in that field, and they aren't going to be hired for cheap. It really is overkill and will make you lose money to develop custom software for a single MMO. You can possibly license your software to others, but ain't nobody got time fo' dat.

I dont see the point in this idea all it does is destroy stuff in the map if you wanna see Enviromental destruction i suggest just go play a DBZ game on ps3 or Xbox.
