Title: DBOR Auction House
Post by: Vroku on April 06, 2014, 10:16:37 PM
In TW1 the AH prices were ridiculous, so I imagine it will be more efficient, and price not so high?

Economy is made by Players....The Future will show us if it'll be like on TW S1 ^^
Although i never had a problem on S1 xDD But i agree on the part that some stuff was too overpriced....

It won't be like TW sv1 beacause no one will have that much money without cash shop... at least at the beginning.

Well economy won't be influenced by a cash shop now.
It was always funny to see how the prices for whitestones, dogis, etc. changed depending on what the wagu machine offered or what you got from webdepot.

I often bought a dogi a few times when it came to wagu machine and was really common, then waited for a while until they became rare on AH and sold them  for a lot more then.

:D

I will sell all of my items at a reasonable price even if it's legendary with good stats maybe( in the beginning)

Later on I will sell them for a higher price because there will be a higher demand for it or match it to someone else's price.

Dat excellent salesman over there :o

it's the same when you buy for high price you sell for high price and when you buy for low price you sell for low price.

AH is basically server's economy. The developers can't control it directly.
However, there are some moves that can help keeping it stable.
Not having a conventional cash shop helps a lot, since the players are the one who control AH, if there aren't for example anything stat boosting related items, players can't get them just by using real money and sell it at insane prices.

I am curious as to why you guys can't control it directly  ???

They can if they want to since they can delete items and such. But there would be no reason to delete items, unless it came into the game unfairly.

Like hacking items?

Like using a bug to get a item or duping(Never saw this happen in DBO, but it might be possible in this private server) a item.

Easy money making = Inflation.
Inflation = High Prices

Sure it is a game, but real life economy model can be used as an example.

No easy money please.

Not only this, but prices will be influenced by wants and by players.
