I've seen this happen on a few forums before and I figured I wouldn't post a topic about it until I saw it in action. What I'm talking about is the practice of giving someone negative reputation based on receiving negative reputation. I just received two negative points today accompanied by inflammatory comments that have nothing to do with the content of the post they repped me for. Earlier today, I remember giving them both negative reputation for spam, so I have ample reason to believe I was given negative reputation as a form of revenge. I doubt I'm the individual who has experienced this.In most forums with negative reputation, there's a rule against this. What I'm suggesting is setting something like that up here, particularly since negative reputation shows quite blatantly on user profiles.
lol i got my negative vote in a welcome post where i said only welcome xD ..... imma be honest xD that made me angry and i got revenge u.u :p
The same can be said for people getting honor for ridiculous reasons.
Stop crying please. People gave me -2 just because I said something bad about gays and -2 about Uprise, but I ain't mad baby.
It's not crying -- an endless cycle of revenge-negging could well turn into a serious problem for the community -- if it hasn't already. Fighting only leads to more fighting after all and, as this thread has proven, a lot of people have issues with this practice.
If you don't want this "Revenge negging" to continue, don't be the one to initiate it. All I see is crying honestly. Its a damn negative, who the naughtyword cares?
The negative isn't the problem. It's the reasoning behind the negative that's the problem. People should be able to voice their own opinion without getting naughtyword lashed at. People are basically using the honor system as a means to insult people further, which is ridiculous.
