The design is fine, but holy crap... that name is god awful. They couldn't just call her "Link?"Or how about "Linka?"Linkle makes her sound like she's Tingle pretending to be Link in drag...
BOYCOTT HYRULE WARRIORS 3DS
After Aryll was left all alone on the island, Link having left for adventure or w/e, she became very jealous of her brother and longed to fight evil herself. With the help of her trusty pirate friends, she was trained in the art of the crossbow and helped them on their way to find treasure. However, after raiding many towns and stealing people's precious sustainance right out of their hands, she had a fallout with the pirates, vowing never to help them with their evil deeds again. She then ran away to continue her fight against evil, using the skills and trusty crossbows she had aquired from the pirates. Later down the line, she realizes the irony in all of it, she broke away from her friends, the pirates, and stole away from them the skills and the weapons that were the only reason she was still alive and able to fight evil in the first place! Then the pirates get in trouble somehow, perhaps a new villain comes and imprisons the lot of em. It is Aryll's quest to save them from their vile captors, and continue cleansing the land of evil using whatever means possible!
Where is zeldo?
What reason is there to boycott it, Mike? Imo, the only game on the 3ds that should have been boycotted was that vastly inferior version of Sm4sh.
"OMG THEY MAED ZELDA IN2 A GURL!"
I find it astounding that Roxas thinks nothing else good happened in the direct other than Cloud being confirmed as playable for smash.I love her design, just kinda wish there were less crossbows, and more swords Q.Q
The fact that some of the characters added for Hyrule Warriors necessitates owning both versions of the game is absolute popo. I already spent $80 on it total with the DLC (which, admittedly, was fairly priced and added more than twice the amount of content that was in the vanilla game). I’d gladly shill out an additional $10-20 for more characters and content (if I had the money, at least), but asking me to buy the game twice when I already played through the console version is overkill. This game will probably play like garbage on the 3DS anyway, because it’s an inherently big game that lags sometimes on the Wii U itself. They’d have to radically alter the gameplay. Admittedly, I might be interested in chipping in if they do change the gameplay enough, add new levels instead of rehashing old ones, and, for the love of God, add a co-op mode that can be played online. It’d basically have to be a different game to incentivize me.

Remember to Linkle after you twinkle.
Eh, just ignore him. He thinks a female protagonist automatically means feminists took control of the franchise, even though people have wanted a female protagonist since the 90s (besides those awfu CD-I games, and the Satellite games nobody ever knew about outside of Japan).Let's be honest, Link's gender has never been of any real importance. The character has no real traits other than "courage" and was likely made a blank-slate for the sake of printing the player over them. He was always the player's avatar, and it's rare there's any mention of any real romantic expression (other than Zelda 2, and maybe Skyward Sword since I haven't played it).Honestly, I'm amazed it took them until now to do so.
I found that far more amusing than I should have.
