To be honest, I think that's not quite right.DBZ is a great series to be sure, but the anime has a lot of inconsistencies and many of the episodes are really, really, REALLY badly drawn. It's my favorite manga, and definitely one of my favorite anime, but I can't call it the best. Most appealing perhaps?
Dbz is way overrated, bruh
Really badly drawn? Considering the time period the DBZ anime was created, I wouldn't exactly be picking on the old animation used. I think it's unfair to compare DBZ with the current anime series made today.
It's a fact that Dragon Ball Z is the best anime.
many of the episodes are really, really, REALLY badly drawn.
It's an opinion, not a fact.I just wanted to point out that Dragon Ball, as a collective series, aired consistently almost every week for more than a decade and that episodes needed to be pushed out in a very short time frame. It wasn't chunked up into seasons, so I think it's practically a miracle it's even watchable. The movies, of course, have substantially better animation because they benefit from not being in that crunch period. They have months to crank out the time equivalent of three episodes of material, so naturally it's going to look much better.
tbh either this was a bait or he was expecting unanimous agreement.
I gotta say I considered Dragon Ball to be the best anime at some point but then I started watching other animes like Naruto, Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood among many others and, not just because of animation quality, I consider them better.Naruto might be similar to DB actually since it takes for ever to get to the point and there's only a little fighting every episode but storywise I find it more appealing than DB because it had been planned for a long time while half of DBZ was improvised by Toriyama because fans didn't want it to end. He also had to constantly change what he planned for the anime because the fans didn't like his ideas. That made DBZ lose a lot of awesomeness in my opinion. Some facts about what I just said: (took it from Dragon Ball Wiki so they might be wrong)Spoiler for Hidden: Dragon Ball Z (actually was meant to be called Dragon Ball 2 but there was a mistake registering the name) was supposed to end after the Freezer (or Freeza, not sure what the english name is) saga with Goku dead as the only Legendary Super Saiyan but fans asked for more and more so Toriyama improvised a new saga, planning to have Gohan as the new main character but people didn't like that either so he had to make Goku the main character again in the Boo saga.I find Bleach ridiculously amazing and it is still my favorite anime so far. I can't tell why but I love it. The drawings were pretty lame at first (Ichigo's face looked dumb) but they worked around it and made it better and I find it amazing storywise. Also, they don't take 5 episodes to do an attack and fights won't take the whole arc but just about 5 episodes tops and they would still be amazing.Few little spoilers about FMA: Brotherhood here so I'll make a spoiler thing. Spoiler for Hidden: FMA: Brotherhood is my second favorite so far. The animation quality is ridiculously awesome! The way Envy moves in his giant form is just flawless. It's not like how Kurama moves and speaks in Naruto, Envy actually moves his mouth in sync with what his saying, his hair moves around when he shakes his head... The fight between Roy and Lust was also amazingly drawn and animated and these are just some examples of how amazing the animation quality was. The story was also amazing and perfectly written, being serious without taking away the fun from it. I can't explain why this is not my favorite anime but it's my second favorite after Bleach.Even though I made it look like I don't like Dragon Ball, I love it. I just think it's not as good as the new generation animes. I know Dragon Ball started in the 80s and the technology was not as advanced back in the days but still, Toriyama could've done a better job writing it once he started improvising. It's not a bad job but could've been better.
One Piece is the longest of all.
Fixed that for you.
One Piece is the best so as the longest!fixed it again
One piece was fun at first. Up until around the Arlong arc.
The story that it was supposed to end with Goku's death on Namek was disproven by Kanzenshuu. After all, Goku was found alive and well a week later (there's other evidence they dug up, but I don't feel like searching for it at the moment). Also, the stuff about Gohan is half-right. Gohan was meant to be the hero of the Buu saga, but he found the character to be ill suited for the role of protagonist, and that was changed early on (despite many people thinking that it was a later decision, following Gohan getting his "Mystic" power up). It's also a well-known fact that Toriyama basically improvised the whole series, only putting basic ideas into motion with any real planning. He constantly made jokes about pulling events out of his ass. Also, the whole "Freezer" thing is a mistranslation. In Japanese, the name is spelled as Huriza (there's no F in Japanese, so Hu is pronounced as F). Generally, it's read as Freeza, although it could be also read as Furiza, etc., (the English dub's Frieza has always been considered an oddity since it takes away so much from the pun). However, it's not supposed to be Freezer, since there's only one a at the end of the Japanese name. If there was a second a, it would often equate to the same as an "er" sound. You're also comparing the original author's writings to the animation, which is inconsistent in most cases. Dragon Ball Z, in particular, had a particularly bad chunk of filler that had nothing to do with Toriyama's manga (which moves at a much faster pace... remember, he didn't animate the show), namely the Garlic Jr. saga, which is embarrassingly inconsistent (it would require two of the movies to have taken place, one of which taking place during the time on Namek... which means Piccolo and the others should have been dead). The writers for the anime changed stuff. Toriyama had very little to do with it, other than the occasional bit that he actually wrote in (filler moments like Yamcha playing baseball, and hitting Gregory with the hammer... those was actually his idea).Toriyama never changed the plot for the sake of the anime... in fact, the anime is barely mentioned at all in interviews with him.No offense though, but Bleach is probably the anime that drags on more than any other with it's filler arcs. They throw in 30 episode long filler arcs in the middle of filler arcs that are filler arcs thrown in the middle of the main story arc with no warning half the time. That's probably why the anime is on hiatus right now... people were sick of the terrible filler.
Why Nia? Why can't you simply write a line or two?
