Kinda defeats the "stealth assassin" angle, doesn't it?
Not like that style wasn't totally obliterated after AC 3.
I actually haven't played any other than the original. XDNot that I disliked it, mind you (I thought it was a fantastic game), I just haven't gotten to any of the others.Still, this pretty much feels like it's gonna degenerate. I could be wrong, of course, but...I actually wouldn't mind seeing something like this in a modern incarnation, but automatic guns kinda take away from it, doesn't it?
I've played almost all of them (Didn't play Black Flag) and it did degenerate. Pretty much after AC Brotherhood it started going downhill. Stealth isn't encouraged anymore. They've turned every assassin into a medieval Rambo and Ubisoft is getting every single drop of juice from the franchise with the use of mediocre cliff hangers in every single game. And I don't know who's the biggest retard: Ubisoft, or me(who keeps buying their games).
A lot of people hate on the "real-world" aspect of AC, but personally, I love it. The whole game surrounds around the animus and I like this shift between times. It is something different, I just hope the story is down packed.
I don't anymore, not so much since subject 17, uh, died.I still love it, just you are some faceless individual at the moment, if they flesh out another character in the next two games being released, that'd be cool.rip sub17 :C
What I find interesting from that trailer, the female voice (Which sounds like Lucy Stillman) said that you might not know what time you'll end up in. Potentially meaning Subject 17 could return? Possibly in another timeline?
I believe that this is a pre-order only dlc, so i don't believe this is going be part of the storyline.
I played all of them and god i hated AC3 but i realy enjoyed Black flag,im seeing alot of potential in unityBut the hype for rogue is realy not there
I didn't mind ac3, it was quite a nice change in pace personally.Rouge isn't being hyped that's why.
also i dont like the sound of an assassin killing other assassin's,the AC franchise should be about brotherhood, not betrayal
Betrayal, is very good trope of story telling.
A lot of people have wanted games set in more modern time periods, and I think this is their gateway into that (similar to the naval missions in AC3). "Glitch in the system" is a good and simple way to switch genres for a bit and test out player reactions.
I think it was AC3 that also had modern time missions with Desmond, I really enjoyed those (I remember the football game, and climbing a skyscraper, EPIC).EDIT: And this...So awesome.
